The Pole Divas Championships are the first pole fitness event to cover the whole of the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Compete to win the Championship title for 2008!
The Championships are aimed at both men and women and are open to any resident of the UK or Republic of Ireland over the age of 18. The competition, a key part of increasing the profile of pole fitness in the UK, identifies areas of excellence in strength, flexibility and performance in those people that have a real flair for the art of pole dancing and performance.

33 finalists will be selected in Regional Heats to be held between September 1st and November 1st. On Sunday 23rd November a panel of judges will select an overall winner from the regional finalists at the Grand Final to be held in Pure, Manchester.
Final entry dates will be 31st August 2008 for September Regional Heats, 30th September 2008 for October Regional Heats and 20th October 2008 for November Regional Heats. Please contact us asap if you believe your entry will be late (after these dates it is at our discretion whether entries are accepted and based solely on the number of competitors at your chosen heat).
Entry Fees
Competitor entry fees are as follows and are payable by bank transfer, cheque, postal order or debit/credit card (£0.50 fee applies):
Amateur: £10
Advanced: £15
Professional: £20
Note: Entry fees are non-refundable
Entry Criteria
There are 3 entry levels in the 2008 Pole Divas Championships. The levels are Amateur, Advanced and Professional and they will be separated as follows:
Amateur Level
Competitors may only enter this level for one year. Candidates entering this level must NOT be a professional dancer; this includes podium & club dancers, instructors or pole performers of any kind. Candidate must not invert during their routine*.
NOTE: those who previously entered the competition at this level must enter at Advanced or Professional for the 2008 Championships. Competitors may only enter at this level for one year.
Advanced Level
Candidates entering this level must NOT be a professional dancer; this includes podium & club dancers, instructors or pole performers of any kind. Candidates ARE permitted to invert during their routine*.
NOTE: To enter this level you will be asked to provide a reference who can state that you are not a professional pole dancer and have never been paid to perform pole dancing. Those entering this level will be permitted to invert during their performance.
Professional Level
This level is open to all pole dancers, including students whether self-taught or through a pole school, professional pole dancers, podium & club dancers, instructors and any other kind pole performer.

*The definition of an Invert we are using is a move that requires the dancers pelvis to be higher then their head. Knee Holds are banned from this entry level.

Grand Final Qualification
Competitors must enter and reach 1st place in their chosen Regional Heat in order to qualify for the Grand Final in Manchester. Competitors should specify their 1st and 2nd choices for the heats as their initial choice may already be full. They are permitted to enter a maximum of 2 Regional Heats should they fail to qualify the first time (depending on availability at their chosen location). Should they enter and fail to qualify they will be given the chance to enter into the FREE Online Heat, a “last chance saloon” only open to those who already took part in a Regional Heat.
